Handling the management of your group health plan’s finances is an important part of our service offerings.  Our goal of making your plan a Premier plan requires us to pay special attention to fund accounting. Typically, we—

• Establish a separate commercial savings account at a FDIC-insured financial institution, in the name of your Plan/Trust, which you have signing authority on, and into which only your fund assets are placed (no co-mingling of funds with other group plans.)
• Transfer funds from this account on an as-needed basis, to cover your Plan’s claims and expenses, and in an exact dollars-and-cents amount.  This way there is no delay in the release of claims, since we are not waiting on you to fund them after they have already been calculated.
• We perform a total account reconciliation at the end of each month, and provide you with a monthly and year-to-date summary of your plan’s financial activity.  We also give you the original reconciled bank savings account statement and check register as supporting documentation.

• We have fund-wiring capability, and all fund transfers are performed electronically through our Virtual Private Network.  You have immediate access to any information concerning your fund’s activity by simply calling our office.
• Any insured plan benefits which are discriminatory in their design can have their premiums run through our designated fiduciary account.  We receive no interest earnings on funds held in this account, and there is no additional charge for this service.
• We provide you with completed Federal Form 990 and 5500 series returns, ready for your review and signature, at no additional charge.  We also coordinate with outside auditors for the performance of required ERISA independent audits, as needed.
